Friday News Oct 24: Weekly Socials, Virtual CoMs

  • G4G Weekly Socials

Our weekly Socials are held on Saturday at 1 pm Atlanta time (check the time for you here).

We are using the Zoom Meeting platform here (not Zoom Webinar as we do for our monthly CoM presentations on the 21st). So for these Saturday socials we will all be able to see each other.

    Upcoming Sessions:

Sat 25 Oct – Randy Goodman with “Magic with a Gardner Twist”

Randy Goodman is South Florida’s premier close-up Magician, specializing in mentalism with a bit of comedy. His brand of magic is original and slightly unusual, and he always plays to rave reviews!

Randy is a performing and teaching magician with over 30 years experience, and a full repertoire of platform and close-up magic.

Randy is the resident Magician at The Boca Raton (5 star resort hotel). He has recently started Magic Dinner Theater at Revelry restaurant in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Randy is routinely hired by country clubs, high-end corporate events, and private parties.

Today he will show us a few mentalism routines, based on Martin Gardner ideas.

We welcome theme suggestions for the G4G Weekend Socials. Would you like to lead such a social, perhaps with a fresh look at a favorite Martin Gardner column (or book)? A  piece on critical thinking? A miscellaneous theme? Please contact us.

All information can be found here.

  • Virtual Celebration of Mind

We continue our series of online seminars, Virtual Celebration of Mind, that started in 2020. The sessions are at 12 noon Atlanta time (check your time here) held on zoom webinar, here.

  • G4G15 Videos

As for past G4Gn videos of the flash talks presented at the Gathering will be shared publicly on the web. We are uploading new videos weekly to our YouTube channel. You can find the latest videos here.

  • G4G Tributes

We continue to update and maintain multiple tribute pages. In this we hope to honour and remember the many who have made the G4G community the remarkable group it is. As well as to inspire and connect those who build on the shoulders of these giants. We welcome and encourage any contribution to these tributes. To share your memories or anecdotes, please email us, support@g4gfoundation.org
