Remembering Lambert Bright

It is with great sadness that G4G notes the death of Lambert Bright (December 17, 1947  – February 19, 2023).

We are collecting here some recollections from various members of the G4G community. If you have any anecdotes, memories, or tributes that you would like to share, please email us at support@g4gfoundation.org.

Lambert Bright was a member of the American Magician Society and an annual attendee of the International Puzzle Party as well as the G4G, he was the inventor of hundreds of challenging—and often frustrating—disentanglement puzzles. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Saundra “Sandy” Bright, who always accompanied Lambert to the G4G and always lent a hand at the registration tables and helped the G4G in any way she could. Lambert had a master’s degree in physics and worked at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a computer analyst from 1970 to 2023. He is also survived by his two sons, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. A soft-spoken and unique member of our community, he will be missed.
