Short Bio: Arthur Benjamin is the Smallwood Family Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College, where he has taught since 1989. He earned his mathematical degrees from Carnegie Mellon and Johns Hopkins University. He is also a professional magician and has demonstrated and explained his techniques for rapid mental calculation to audiences all over the world. He has given 3 TED talks (including his Mathemagician performance) which have been viewed over 12 million times. Reader’s Digest calls him America’s Best Math Whiz.
