STEM Success — Hope, with a Plan!

David Kahn has created a new STEM Success movement to address the rampant spread of disinformation we are all exposed to today.  He will explain several reasons why he is hopeful that this situation can be improved, and four layers of a framework that we can use to both understand the problem and work to address it.  Our goal is to apply the abundant resources that are available today wherever they are needed.  A key component of the movement is the Call to Action – simple tasks that we can each choose to complete.  Each completed task will result in a small improvement.  With scale, we can make a difference.  David will be using his new Substack to organize and promote this new movement, and free subscribers are welcome at any time.

David Kahn is a recently retired IT professional who has decided to devote much of his time to helping us separate truth from fiction in the barrage of details that bombard us every hour of every day.  He received an S.B. in computer science from MIT (1978) and an SM in Management from MIT (1981).  He started reading Martin Gardner’s column in SciAm in the 1960’s, corresponded with MG regarding superqueen packing in the 1970’s, and was thrilled to see his name appear once in the column!  His hobbies include music, Go, photography, wine, ethics and puzzles.
