Martin Gardner, Magic and Science

Our event will address especially the role Martin Gardner played in the intersection between Magic and Science. People from all ages, interests and expertise are welcome. Local magicians are expected to gather too. Soft drinks and sandwiches will be provided free of charge within the limit of 50 attendants. The organizers will focus first on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Martin Gardner. Then, attending magicians will recreate one of MG’s tricks or games. Later, the usefulness of Magic for Education will be discussed. Finally, more science-oriented curiosities, recreational problems and activities will be offered. The overall duration of the meeting will not exceed 2 hours.
