Hood College’s Mathematics Department hosts a weekly “Math Tea”, where students from many different majors in the college join us for puzzles, games and snacks. On Monday, October 27th from 3-5pm in the Hodson Science and Technology Center on our campus, we’ll be hosting a “Celebration of Mind” themed Math Tea, and opening it up to any interested members of the community. In particular, at this Math Tea we’ll be exploring a few chapters of Martin Gardner’s “Hexaflexagons and Other Mathematical Diversions: The First Scientific American Book of Mathematical Puzzles and Games.” Come join us for tea, cookies, a little bit of magic!
