Friday News Nov 15: Weekly Socials, November CoM, G4G15 Videos

  • G4G Weekly Socials

Our weekly Socials are held on Sunday at 1 pm Atlanta time (check the time for you here).

We are using the Zoom Meeting platform here (not Zoom Webinar as we do for our monthly CoM presentations on the 21st). So for these Sundays socials we will all be able to see each other.

    Upcoming Sessions:

Sun 17 Nov –Sunday confession time! “
Sun 24 Nov– Rob Eastaway with “Shakespeare’s mathematical games”

We welcome theme suggestions for the G4G Weekend Socials. Would you like to lead such a social, perhaps with a fresh look at a favorite Martin Gardner column (or book)? A magic effect you invented? A miscellaneous theme? Please contact us.

All information can be found here.

  • Sunday Social, November 18, “Sunday Confession Time”

Which famous MG Sci Amer column are you willing to admit you have never actually read, for whatever reason?

    Sunday confession time!

Bring your embarrassing admission and wear it proudly. Colm Mulcahy will start off.
(This is the guy who didn’t solve a Rubik’s cube until just before he met the great man at G4G in Atlanta.  Who knows what else he’s hiding?)
All revelations will be treated in confidence.  No recording will be made.
  • G4G15 Videos

As for past G4Gn videos of the flash talks presented at the Gathering will be shared publicly on the web. We are uploading new videos weekly to our YouTube channel. You can find the latest videos here.

  • G4G Tributes

We continue to update and maintain multiple tribute pages. In this we hope to honour and remember the many who have made the G4G community the remarkable group it is. As well as to inspire and connect those who build on the shoulders of these giants. We welcome and encourage any contribution to these tributes. To share your memories or anecdotes, please email us, support@g4gfoundation.org
