Mathematics Through The Looking Glass

Mathematics Through The Looking Glass

Event Details

The 2017 Celebration of Mind in Hong Kong is an event to be held on Fridays October 20 and 27 for students, ages 814 to learn fun mathematics together using mathematical games and puzzles. We focus on mathematical games and logic puzzles invented by great minds such as Charles Dodgson (who wrote Alice in Wonderland under the pen-name of Lewis Carroll), American mathematicians Raymond Smullyan and Martin Gardner. Enjoy the mathematical fun of number theory, logic, algebra, computing and word games through the Looking Glass! Brought to you by the people behind the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival in Hong Kong, we aspire to make mathematics accessible to every student of all abilities, focus on collaborative problem-solving, and encourage more students to pursue mathematics.
