  • The G4G Fall 2022 Benefit Auction

    The G4G Fall 2022 Benefit Auction is taking place the week of October 23-30, 2022. This is the perfect time to get gifts for the holidays. Special unique items include autographed books by Martin Gardner and John Conway, notebooks with drawings featured in Vi Hart’s videos, mechanical puzzles, Escher-inspired checkerboard, original artwork, The Art of Computer Programming, Volume 4B: Combinatorial Algorithms, Part 2 (scheduled for publication this fall) personally autographed by Donald Knuth, G4G Gift Exchange books, lessons in magic and more. Proceeds fund G4G scholarships, Celebration of Mind, and other G4G outreach initiatives.

  • Celebration of Mind

    G4G has been holding virtual Celebration of Mind lectures on the 21st of each month since October 2020 and we will continue to do so. This year, we will have a special virtual lecture on October 21st to celebrate Martin Gardner’s birthday (read more below) and we encourage you to hold your own in-person or virtual celebration. On our website, you will find information about this worldwide celebration and how to host an event. There are all types of resources for hosts, including dozens of new videos. Whether you have a small event at your home or a larger one at your school, we hope you will include it in the calendar. These gatherings are a wonderful way to celebrate Martin Gardner’s birthday!

    Join us, next week, on Zoom on Friday, October 21, at 12 noon ET (16:00 UTC) Atlanta Local Time, for “CoM | Mining the Soma Cube for Gems: Isomorphic Subgraphs Reveal Equivalence Classes” by Edward Vogel.
    We’ll also meet in Gather right after his presentation.
